KIM HEE NAM

This aims to focus on discussing life under the theme of “Networking: non-languageelements formed in networking.”
Language is an essential element of social life that allows people to communicate their intentions and emotions. In order to communicate with each other, people need non-language, elements such as gestures, hand gestures, facial expressions, and intonation, as well as spoken and written languages. Among them, I start my networking through one of the non-language elements, Gestures.
A line of these languages creates a symbol, and the symbol captures the flow of time and memory by containing memories of the thinking process at a certain point in time, various languages, and symbols. Various shapes of gestures that symbolize language are reincarnated and embodied based on my memory.
The process of the art work is to embody a differentiated formative language through paper and to incorporate one's desire to regenerate and heal through repetitively cutting and pasting paper. Various shapes of hands become cohesive through another organic transformation to imbue with a formative to themselves. The physical properties of the paper become changed into firmness, into heaviness, sometimes into tenderness, and sometimes into sharpness. Just like the myriad temperatures of language.
